Frequently Asked Questions

What sensors are embedded in the A100?

The Aeronode A100 is equipped with sensors for CO₂, temperature & humidity, light, sound, and air pressure. These sensors feature an ultra-long lifespan of over 10 years, maintaining high accuracy throughout their lifetime.

Can I customize the device to monitor other gases?

Yes. The A100 features both capsule slots at the back, allowing up to two specialized sensors to work simultaneously, giving users flexibility based on specific monitoring needs.

Every device includes the PM-TVOC (Particulate Matter & Total Volatile Organic Compounds) capsule as its default module, whereas additional options can be swapped with sensors for Ozone (O₃), Carbon Monoxide (CO), Formaldehyde (HCHO), Hydrogen (H₂), Ammonia (NH₃), Hydrogen Sulfide (H₂S), and Nitrogen Dioxide (NO₂).

How do I calibrate the sensors?

Calibration can be performed directly through the Aeropulse App, supporting both baseline and sensitivity calibration for sensors such as CO₂, O₃, CO, HCHO, H₂, and others. We recommend replacing the sensor capsule once its lifespan reaches the end to ensure optimal accuracy.

Where should Aeropulse monitors be installed?

Aeropulse monitors come with a wall-mounting plate, ideal for installation at breathing height for accurate readings. They can also be ceiling-mounted for project-specific applications or placed on a desk using an optional table stand.

How often should I replace my air quality sensors to ensure peak performance?

The Aeropulse A100 is a fully networked device; thus, users can monitor the status of their sensors using the Aeropulse Web Dashboard. By logging in to your central dashboard and selecting the device you wish to inspect, you should be able to find the remaining lifespan in percentage, along with firmware version and battery usage on the upper header.

Can Aeropulse devices integrate with my existing building management system (BMS)?

Absolutely. To support both LEED and WELL efficiency goals, Aeropulse devices could be integrated seamlessly with existing smart building ecosystems. Available communication protocols include Modbus (RTU/IP), BACnet (MSTP/IP), and MQTT, allowing data to route directly into a local server for automated ventilation and centralized facility control.

Is Aeropulse officially recognized by the WELL Building Standard?

Yes. The Aeropulse A100 is an official “Works with WELL” certified product. This designation from the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) confirms that the device has been verified to help projects earn points within the Air concept.

By providing accurate, continuous data on key parameters—such as PM2.5, CO2, TVOC, humidity, and temperature—the A100 simplifies the path to achieving features like air quality monitoring and data management.

How does Aeropulse act as a strategic partner for LEED certification?

While the USGBC certifies buildings rather than individual hardware, Aeropulse devices are essential tools for securing specific Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) credits. Aeropulse devices are used to satisfy requirements for:

1. IEQ Credit 1 (Enhanced IAQ Strategies): Achieve compliance through high-fidelity real-time monitoring and comprehensive trend logging.

2. IEQ Credit 6 (IAQ Assessment): Enable the continuous monitoring of CO2, particulate matter (PM), and VOCs required for advanced assessment credits.

3. Energy & Atmosphere (EA) Credits: Optimize building performance by integrating Aeropulse with your Building Management System (BMS) via Modbus, BACnet, or MQTT. This allows for automated, demand-controlled ventilation based on actual air quality data.
